The CEO of redpepper, Tim McMullen, spoke to AMA chapters around the country last year about the concept of being Marketing Scientists—approaching advertising and marketing with an experimental and innovative mindset. I was tasked with creating a teaser to this topic through an invitation to his talks. I hand-lettered and created custom icons on the invitation, which asked those on the receiving end to do a little experimenting of their own. By following the instructions and sprinkling metallic shavings onto a card with a magnetic die-cut, the topic of Tim’s speaking engagements was revealed. Each invitation and all enclosures were assembled by hand.
